Web Designer develops and executes creative concepts for custom, seasonal, and product campaigns, aligning with marketing strategies. This position assists in designing impactful marketing campaigns and landing pages while ensuring consistency with existing branding standards. Opportunities for innovation within these guidelines are identified to enhance the customer experience on eCommerce platforms.
The role involves maintaining and applying visual style guides, working closely with copywriters, design partners, and other teams to ensure cohesive messaging. Meeting tight deadlines is crucial, as these projects often have significant business impacts. Web Designer also contributes new ideas for design and content creation, leveraging expertise in cutting-edge design. The role may leverage data and user testing to optimize designs and layout, maximizing impact and customer engagement. Analyzing and interpreting data effectively to inform design strategies and build a solid understanding of customer pain points, needs, and expectations is essential.
Additionally, this position collaborates with internal and external e-commerce teams to align aesthetics with usability and web accessibility standards. Managing relationships with third-party agencies and vendors may be required to ensure design consistency across all digital properties.
Qualifications
- College diploma or University degree in Graphic Design, Visual Design or related field with a strong portfolio
- 5+ years' experience in digital design & production.
- Experience with retail/consumer brands and UX principles
- Can work independently and can adapt to changing priorities as needed.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficient in the use of Adobe Creative Suite applications (photoshop, illustrator etc.) and Figma
- Highly skilled in image manipulation, good sense of typography, file formats (JPG, GIF, SVG, etc.).
