Position Summary...

The Manager, Ethics & Compliance Business Analysis and Insights plays a pivotal role in supporting the strategic initiatives and processes of the Walmart Canada Ethics & Compliance Division. This position involves the adept framing of analytical challenges, conducting comprehensive exploratory data analysis, harnessing the power of big data, and developing sophisticated analytical models using Power BI and reports tailored to meet business needs.

What you'll do...

Job Description:

• Work closely with stakeholders in Ethics & Compliance to understand business needs, risks, data specifications and translate requirements into metrics, and technical designs.
• Define and develop actionable KPIs/metrics that align with strategic goals within the Ethics & Compliance Division.
• Develop and maintain data visualizations, reports, and dashboards using Power BI to provide insights and drive data-driven decision-making.
• Optimize data models and reports for performance, scalability, and efficiency.
• Collaborate with IT teams to integrate Power BI data models with other systems and data sources.
• Employ advanced analytics, statistical methods, machine learning algorithms, and predictive modeling techniques to uncover patterns and insights from complex datasets.
• Ensure the delivery of solutions that adhere to data privacy regulations and best practices.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and best practices in data science and analytics to continuously improve processes and deliverables.
• Maintain thorough documentation of methodologies, processes, and findings to ensure transparency and reproducibility of results.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (preferred) in Statistics, Mathematics or related field.
• 5+ years of experience with Power BI, including data modelling, report development, and data visualization (Power BI portfolio required)
• 5+ years of experience with DAX formulas and Power Query
• Excellent analytical skills and ability to interpret complex data
• Proficiency in programming/statistical languages (e.g. SQL, Python, R)
• Strong understanding of data modeling concepts, including star and snowflake schemas
• Experience with cloud-based data platforms, such as GCP
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment and in close collaboration with other IT teams
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-specialists
• Ability to work independently and manage several projects simultaneously
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
