Position Summary...

Manager, Logistics and Operations is responsible for the operational excellence as well as the ongoing evolution and expansion of the WFS (Walmart Fulfillment Services) for Walmart.ca. This is a critical role within the ECommerce leadership team that has a high degree of impact on the operational health of the online business. The Manager is responsible for design, development and execution of cost-effective fulfillment and logistic solutions that result in positive customer experiences and high customer satisfaction. This role will work closely with marketplace team for onboarding of new SKUs, manage data reporting to provide visibility to sellers to update financial flows. This is an individual contributor role with which requires an extremely high degree of cross-functional collaboration and partnership across the business functions within Walmart and other external third parties.

What you'll do...

Provide operational leadership for WFS program and work with technology, replenishment, vendor partners, and FC Operations to build and execute plans for WFS.

Support and execute WFS strategies as they relate to maximizing or optimizing DC building throughput, layout, material flow, storage capacity, profiling design, etc. Lead cross-functional discussions/ evaluations on driving end-to-end costs out of the business through system improvements, improved DC design, technology and innovation.

Vendor management, Issuing POs and cost reconciliation – Define standards for WFS operations at the FC, develop Standard Operating Procedures and audit program for operational compliance.

Reporting : Quarterly status updates, vs plan. Develop Performance metric reporting. Support Ad-hoc reporting and analysis tasks as necessary.

Build partnership with FC Operations team to drive the execution of WFS; communicate business priorities while removing barriers that impact performance.

Develop quality audit program for WFS execution. In addition support the start-up of projects by providing operational expertise, developing functional specifications, process documentation etc.

Develop GLS system expertise and program management for future development of FC technology and systems

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree, education in Supply Chain Management preferred      
  • 5+ Years warehouse, manufacturing or logistics experience
  • DC Operations experience or equivalent experience within logistics industry
  • Data analytics, Excel and Access experience required, SQL experience as an asset
  • Project management experience required
  • Strong communication skills and ability to present to senior leadership
