Position Summary...

Develops and manages company project specifications, guidelines, and construction documents for systems and components by incorporating best practices and standards. Oversees prototype development and maintenance by directing the professional consulting and systems supplier base; incorporating energy efficiency, control timelines and reduce cost.

What you'll do...

1. Develop and standardize HVAC and plumbing systems and distribution to improve efficiency, delivery schedules and reduce project cost.

2. Work with external stakeholders to develop and innovate HVAC and plumbing products that align with WM strategies.

3. Support FM with ongoing design, repair and lifecycle recommendations for existing stores. Develop, implement and publish best practice approach and SOP.

4. Work closely with internal stakeholder to develop project statistics and analytics that support increased efficiency and improved project schedules

5. Direct HVAC/R, plumbing, fire protection and controls systems design development and ongoing design maintenance for building systems by implementing appropriate systems into new building design

6.Manage department initiatives to capitalize on purchasing opportunities by identifying common technologies and applications for energy systems

7. Support the design and construction team in the analysis of change order cost. Overseeing correction of errors and procedures; and managing the consultant base relationship.  Manage Vendor and Manufacturer relationships.

8. Investigate existing building systems for retrofit and EOL strategies; and develop new technology initiatives for new and existing mechanical and electrical systems to reduce company energy and greenhouse gas footprint.
