Position Summary...

The Manager, Project Management – Supply Chain Asset (SC) Management oversees critical projects, ensuring timely, within-scope, and on-budget completion through collaboration, strategic thought leadership, and influence. This role supports diverse functions, drives business results, and navigates complex organizational structures. Additionally, this role includes Asset Management as a core responsibility, ensuring the effective stewardship and utilization of company assets.

What you'll do...

The Manager, Project Management – SC Asset Management is responsible for driving the execution of critical projects by identifying customer and operational needs, developing and communicating business plans and priorities, and maintaining detailed task-based project plans. This role involves removing barriers and obstacles that impact performance, setting performance standards, measuring progress, adjusting performance accordingly, and developing contingency plans.

The position also defines and assists in building project charters and objectives for key projects or initiatives.

Utilizing standard processes, tools, and templates, the Manager manages and controls systems and process changes, including project scope, project plan, integrated milestone plan, risk management, change control, implementation plan, and project closure. Reporting the status of projects to key stakeholders and senior leadership is a critical function of this role.

Additionally, the Manager, Project Management – SC Asset Management is tasked with PMO development and execution. This includes building and developing governance processes to ensure key projects are executed effectively and holding cross-functional teams accountable for delivery. The Manager forecasts, tracks, and reports key metrics for the project portfolio, documenting and reporting on close-out results.

The role also involves working with other team members managing projects to ensure high-quality project plans and budgets, securing necessary approvals, and overseeing the execution of project implementation, communication, and change management strategies. Educating teams and individual project members on the benefits of consistent tool and template use, driving governance, and ensuring project plan quality through validation and progress reviews are essential responsibilities.

Asset Management responsibilities include ensuring that all company assets are planned and used efficiently and effectively to maximize their value over their end to end asset lifecycle. The Manager will develop and maintain a comprehensive asset tracking system, ensuring that all assets are properly documented, monitored, and reported. They will oversee the lifecycle management of assets, including acquisition, deployment, maintenance, and disposal. Ensuring that all asset management activities comply with relevant policies, standards, and regulations, and managing risks associated with asset use are also critical. Additionally, the Manager will work closely with other departments to ensure that asset management practices are integrated into overall project management and operational processes.

By incorporating Asset Management as a core responsibility, the Manager, Project Management – Supply Chain Asset Management will ensure that all company assets are managed effectively, contributing to an EDLC operating model.

Qualifications :

  • Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Degree/Diploma or relevant Degree/Diploma for a relevant discipline from an accredited college or university.
  • Certificate in Asset Management preferred, but not required.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Project Management, Asset Management or related field.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of influencing and aligning cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of Supply Chain and Supply Chain Assets
  • Firm understanding of Project Management and PMO responsibilities
  • Firm understanding of Asset Lifecycle Management, Risk  Management and Capital Financial Forecasting.
  • Experience with the use of AutoCAD, MS Project or Wrike, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to read architectural plans and interpret equipment specifications.
