Position Summary...
The Manager of Reporting & Insights is responsible for overseeing the Analyst team that compiles accurate, timely data into meaningful information to enable informed, evidence-based operational and strategic decisions. This role oversees the design and build of interactive and static data visualizations using various reporting software programs to provide insights and analysis. It supports the development of operational and quality improvement opportunities for data, tools, and processes to advance insight generation. This role is critical in supporting the Enterprise data transformation agenda through the management of digitally enabled teams to improve the stakeholder experience.What you'll do...
- Operational Lead: Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting requirements to be delivered by the Enterprise Reporting team. Provide timely, accurate, and relevant information to enable decision-making and support desired business outcomes through dashboards and digital reports.
- Develop Team Capability: Provide data visualization and analysis expertise to the analyst team, offering coaching on complex and comprehensive dashboards using visualization tools.
- Data Interpretation and Visualization: Work with various business units to define problems and requirements. Analyze and interpret data using statistical methods and data modeling techniques. Identify patterns and trends in data and provide recommendations for business decisions. Develop and implement data visualizations, dashboards, and reports to effectively communicate insights to stakeholders.
- Data and Dashboarding Knowledge Management: Maintain expert knowledge of all main data sources and classifications to enhance the team’s ability to effectively utilize these data sources for reporting purposes.
- Stakeholder Experience: Lead and role model a client-centered approach to delivering services to stakeholder groups within Walmart Canada. Provide stakeholders with analysis to address their needs and determine the best way to deliver the analysis requested by exploring multiple alternatives and creating prototypes.
- Demand Management: Conduct intake for reporting requests from stakeholders. Assign and delegate requests, review, and provide final approval for deliverables to requestors.
- Learning and Change Adoption: Take initiative to foster a learning and engaged environment to attract and nurture talent while mentoring and developing a high-performing team. Support change management efforts for digital dashboard adoption across the organization.
- Continuous Improvement: Build scalable and automatable analytical solutions. Identify ways to improve processes by observing and collecting feedback from requestors. Analyze business processes and functional requirements with stakeholders for required system enhancements.
- Team Leadership: Cultivate an environment where associates respect and adhere to company standards of integrity and ethics by integrating these values into programs and practices.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree required.
- Experience: 6-8 years of experience required.
- Technical Skills: Experience creating and designing dashboards using visualization tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, Looker, SQL, and BigQuery.
- Knowledge: Knowledge of various data sources, tools, and technologies used in preparing summaries and reports.
- Leadership: Experience leading project teams (3-5 people)
