Position Summary...
The purpose of this role is to centralize omni planning, design and implementation of strategic commercial planning process. This role works cross-functionally with all merchandising and support functions including, but not limited to Omni Merchants, Space, Replenishment, Finance, Marketing, Central Operations, and Field Operations; in support of driving business results through collaboration and influencing at all levels in the organization.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This role has four key focuses:
1. Develop a solid event strategy that aligns with business and customer solves for each SBUs during key event timeframes. Work cross functionally to align tactical plans that support the event strategy. Ensure accountability across all teams to properly execute those plans for all omni and digital led events
2. Support and present at the Commercial Planning Strategy Monthly agenda, summarize meeting notes, actions and follow-up. Key accountabilities includes defining, planning, executing and finalizing strategic planning workstream (ie. Performance scorecard reporting, sales forecasting, market share headroom analysis, and presentation building) within planned deadlines and budget, ensuring all work is aligned with strategic objectives and goals.
3. Work with the cross-functional teams to organize working planning and development sessions, to create the FY commercialization calendar with a 12-month rolling view.
4. Support monthly merchandising agenda (Merch Townhall, Spark), presentation content from all SBUs and cross-functional teams.
What you'll do...
1. Lead Strategy, Planning and Execution plans for E2E Merchandising Key Events – 90 to 360 days out. This includes leading and facilitating across SBUs for ALL Key Events on the following touchpoints:
• Review of High-Level Scorecard & Key Events Postmortem
• Align on Key Event Guiding Principles and directional changes for Next Year
• Generate and present data driven event sales ambition forecast through the implication from market share analysis, and merchandising AOP growth plans in our monthly leadership alignment meetings
• Present completed Performance Recap of each event
2. Lead Strategy Alignment Meetings. Attendees include: CMO, COO, CCO, Merchant SVPs, Marketing, Digal Experience, Finance and Central Ops. Meeting has the following focuses:
a. Monthly Commercial Strategy Forum (CPS) for cross functional teams
i. Merchandise Support Focus
ii. Event Sales ambition forecasting presentation by BU
iii. Cross Functional strategic focus alignment and planning
b. Regular Bi-Weekly and Weekly Cross Functional Commercial Planning Sessions
i. Merchandise Focus & Led
ii. Event Planning Progress
iii. Risk and Change
3. Change & Stakeholder Management: Proactively keep all relevant stakeholders informed on progress and risks, ensure critical tasks are understood by necessary business leaders and act as a liaison between the project lead, executive, senior management and the cross-functional project team leads as required.
4. Influence - gain consensus and alignment with Merchant leads, and DMM’s along with other cross functional leads and/or partners on Events Planning, in accordance with business strategies
5. Support Business Owners in managing multiple workstreams concurrently – setting objectives, managing priorities, milestones, plan/manage meetings with stakeholders with a cross-functional lens.
6. Manages and improves Commercial Strategic Planning process through constant reinvigoration and innovation. Proactively works to improve the entire end-to-end strategy to improve the quality and efficiency of sub-processes.
