This role will lead the planning, execution, and delivery of information security projects and activities, ensuring alignment with the Global and Internation Infosec Program and Walmart Canada’s goals and standards. Responsibilities include managing budgets, resources, risks, and compliance, while maintaining clear communication with stakeholders. The role also involves guiding teams, overseeing vendor relationships, and ensuring projects meet quality and regulatory requirements.
This role will be responsible for:
- Governance & Alignment: Establish and institutionalize a unified governance framework that aligns Global, International, and Walmart Canada Infosec requirements. Drive consistent methodologies, decision-making, and execution across regions to ensure transparency, accountability, and strategic alignment.
- Strategic Planning & Program Management: Define project vision, scope, objectives, and success metrics. Develop integrated roadmaps, including timelines, milestones, dependencies, and resource plans, to enable structured and predictable delivery of Infosec initiatives.
- Cross-Functional Execution & Coordination: Orchestrate collaboration across Infosec, Technology, Product, and Engineering teams. Facilitate alignment, remove execution blockers, and ensure clear ownership to maintain delivery momentum and achieve shared outcomes.
- Risk & Issue Management: Proactively identify, assess, and manage program risks, gaps, and dependencies. Ensure mitigation strategies, escalation paths, and contingency plans are in place to maintain resilience and minimize impact to delivery and compliance.
- Financial & Resource Management: Lead budget planning and governance (AOP), ensuring optimal allocation of resources, financial transparency, and adherence to funding parameters while supporting strategic priorities.
- Stakeholder Communication & Reporting: Serve as the primary liaison for Infosec programs, delivering concise, executive-level communication on progress, risks, and outcomes. Enable informed decision-making through clear, timely, and actionable reporting.
Qualifications:
- PMP Certification
- 5+ years of managing, leading or building a PMO
- 5+ years of managing complex, enterprise-wide projects or programs including but not limited to data center builds and/or migrations and , network segmentation and modernization
- 5+ years of information security experience
- 5+ years of strong financial discipline planning, managing and controlling spend across a portfolio
- Ability to translate decisions into strategic outcomes
- Act as liaison between business and technology
- Additional certifications that are a plus: CISSP, CISM, CCSP
