Position Summary...
The Senior Analyst, Business Analytics & Insights will manage and analyze data to provide actionable insights and performance recommendations.This role may involve interpreting complex data sets, ensuring data accuracy, and collaborating with various teams to design intuitive reporting solutions and embed analytics into structured decision-making processes.
The position ensures insights, predictive outputs, and AI-generated analysis are presented in a way that is accessible, trusted, explainable, and actionable across the business.
What you'll do...
This role lies within the Format Development department, which builds, renovates, and maintains Walmart Canada's buildings: our stores, warehouses, and offices. As a member of the Digital Enablement team, you'll empower users with tools, data, and technology to save associate time and improve project results.
This role owns the experience layer of analytics — translating data into intuitive dashboards, structured decision frameworks, and actionable insights. This role ensures reporting, predictive analytics, and AI outputs are presented clearly, adopted effectively, and embedded into business workflows.
As a senior individual contributor, this role bridges analytics and operations, designing user-centric reporting and decision support tools that improve clarity, speed, and confidence in business decisions.
Position Responsibilities
- Design and develop dashboards and reporting solutions with strong UX/UI principles.
- Translate predictive analytics and data outputs into clear, actionable recommendations and decision frameworks.
- Establish reporting design standards, templates, and visualization best practices.
- Partner with Analytics Engineering to ensure curated datasets meet reporting and usability requirements.
- Integrate AI-driven insights into user-friendly reporting experiences.
- Continuously improve analytics adoption through usability enhancements and stakeholder feedback.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in business intelligence, analytics, or decision support roles.
- Advanced proficiency in Power BI and/or Tableau, with strong dashboard design capabilities.
- Strong understanding of UX principles as applied to analytics and data visualization.
- Ability to translate complex data into clear business narratives.
- Experience working with predictive analytics outputs or advanced analytic use cases.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and influence skills.
