Position Summary...
The Senior Analyst, Business Analytics & Insights will manage and analyze data to provide actionable insights and performance recommendations.This role may involve interpreting complex data sets, ensuring data accuracy, and collaborating with various teams to support scalable reporting, predictive analytics, and data-driven decision-making.
The position will also support reporting data modernization initiatives to ensure business data is clean, structured, and ready for reliable consumption.
What you'll do...
The Senior Analyst, Business Analytics & Insights will manage the interpretation, analytics reporting, and analysis for key insights and performance recommendations.
The role may involve compiling and analyzing data, and ensuring data accuracy through regular audits and structured validation and documentation practices. This position may also assist in the development of measurement tools and platforms while fostering strong business partnerships.
The role will involve maintaining and enhancing reporting databases and structured data assets to improve reliability, scalability, and consistency of analytics processes.
Additionally, it may include transforming and standardizing complex datasets, applying business logic and KPI definitions to support automated reporting and analytics-ready data assets.
The position will work closely with various stakeholders to understand their evolving information needs and support reporting data modernization initiatives, including transition activities where applicable.
Responsibilities may include data management, extraction, and visualization, as well as managing job responsibilities in an AGILE (SCRUM) fashion. Business requirements gathering and KPI management are also integral parts of the role.
The Senior Analyst will also support the development of innovative solutions, design and implement new processes, and monitor business performance against key metrics. The role involves analyzing quantitative and qualitative data to identify opportunities and drive continuous improvement projects that lead to scalable processes.
The role may also involve improving dataset consistency, refining data structures, enhancing metadata clarity, and delivering Power BI reporting solutions to support reliable and AI-enabled analytics.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in business intelligence, analytics, or data-focused roles within a complex reporting environment or equivalent mix of education and additional experiences.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL and demonstrated experience working with relational databases to transform, join, and optimize structured datasets.
- Experience maintaining and enhancing reporting databases and structured data workflows in production environments.
- Strong understanding of data modeling principles and structured dataset design for analytics consumption.
- Experience supporting reporting data modernization or migration initiatives is preferred.
- Experience applying business rules, KPI logic, and data validation standards to support reliable reporting and forecasting.
- Experience documenting metadata, field definitions, and data standards to ensure trusted analytics consumption.
- Experience delivering Power BI reporting solutions is required.
- Familiarity with cloud-based data environments (e.g., GCP or Azure) and enterprise data governance practices.
- Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and ability to manage complex data assets.
- Experience operating within an AGILE (SCRUM) delivery framework is an asset.
