Position Summary...
We are seeking an experienced and highly analytical Growth Strategist to collaborate with senior stakeholders to set strategic goals and objectives, drive innovation, and optimize business performance. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and owning comprehensive business cases and financial models, providing ongoing consulting services to business teams, and monitoring and analyzing the performance of strategic initiatives. This role requires a strong understanding of industry trends, data extraction and modelling technologies, and Walmart's goals and objectives. Key Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with senior management to set strategic goals and objectives, including developing the Long Range Plan (LRP) and Annual Operating Plan (AOP).
2. Continuous innovation to improve ROI of pricing incentives as well as own business requirements to shape up automations which allow to scale up the program 10x. In addition, own strategy and operations for incentives including annual planning and budgeting, bi-weekly execution cadence, monthly seller reimbursements, KAM education and enablement to achieve efficient budget deployment, reporting and executive summary preparation
3. Develop and own comprehensive business cases and financial models using all relevant data sources and various modeling methods to support strategic projects such as events forecasting and deals allocations. Another example is marketing spend allocation for departments based on their profitability.
4. Provide ongoing consulting services to business teams on unearthing and leveraging various growth levers such as price leadership, seller activation, and various marketing initiatives.
5. Locate potential opportunities to tap into synergies in cross-border trade and recommend a course of action to activate those for overall Marketplace growth.
6. Monitor and analyze the performance of strategic initiatives, developing key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and preparing regular reports and presentations for executive leadership.
7. Audit and take steps to remedy data quality issues, including making recommendations to the Business Intelligence team to enable deeper and richer data-based insights.
8. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvements and optimize business performance.
9. Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for innovation and competitive advantage.
10. Provide thought leadership and guidance to senior management and other stakeholders on strategic planning and analysis matters.
11. Continuously improve and refine the strategic planning and analysis process to ensure alignment with Walmart's goals and objectives.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field preferred.
Experience:
- At least 5 years of experience in strategic planning and analysis, preferably in a retail or e-commerce environment.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful strategic initiatives.
- Strong experience with data analysis and financial modeling.
- Familiarity with industry trends and emerging technologies.
Skills:
- Must have - Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, and Looker
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to provide thought leadership and guidance to senior management and other stakeholders.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools and statistical software.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
