Position Summary...

​​Reporting to the VP Format Development & Real estate this Senior Manager role will sit within the Format development team; partnering with the Format development leadership team in setting & driving the Real estate and Store capital long range plan. This role will collaborate with business leaders within Format development, International Real estate team and across the entire organization to bring our long term strategy to fruition. It is a very high-visibility role that requires exceptional stakeholder engagement and critical thinking skills; the role has significant independent responsibilities and excellent prospects for career growth.

​Prior experience with managing projects and coordinating with merchandising, operations, and other cross functional teams in a retail environment is a distinct advantage.

​Ability to analyze market trends and provide insights to support decision-making and identify new opportunities.

What you'll do...

1.​​Strategic planning: Support the development and implementation of the long range plan for new and existing Store Capital investments , taking inputs from leaders across the business and withing Format development and Real estate. Manage key milestones and dependencies to ensure timely and successful execution of the planning process.​
2.​​Program management: Take responsibility for the Walmart International governance process.Serve as Format Development’s liaison with Walmart International, including: manage interaction and inputs into Walmart International project management tools and financial modeling programs; managing Canada’s contribution to the Walmart International Capital Review Committee meeting process, including preparing materials for submission, scheduling meeting times and collaborating with Walmart International Real Estate on minutes.​
3.​​Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with Format development, Real estate,Merchandising, Operations, and other cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and collaboration towards achieving project goals. Serve as a facilitator for communication and decision-making between different stakeholders, and manage conflicts effectively.​
4.​​Executive Presentations: Support creation of compelling content for both Canadian and International executive reviews, as well as external audiences, to enhance strategic decision making and support recommendations. Leverage your expert PowerPoint skills to convey information clearly and effectively.​
5.​​​Project Management: Support the Format Development team in the delivery of strategic projects and new formats. In ad hoc projects may need to manage timelines, deliverables, and effectively coordinate with cross-functional teams.​
6.​​Communications:Support the Format development team in a robust communication plan across the company to share information on the long range plan objectives, and execution plan. This will include working with Merchandising, Operations, and International teams to create compelling content required by each audience.​
7.​​Continuous improvement​: Provide thought leadership within the team to help develop a culture of continuous improvement, including process efficiency, digital enablement, and streamlining meetings and communications.
