(CAN) Senior Product Manager (12 month Contract)

Position Summary...
A Senior Product Manager is responsible for setting strategic direction and optimizing performance for a one or more specific technology functions (i.e. “products”). He or she serves as the bridge between business and technology, helping to set business priorities and directing execution with technology teams, and is also responsible for leading cross-technology projects. Sr. Product Managers balance their passion as the voice of the customer with their pragmatic responsibility to make sound business and technology decisions. As the face of technology for their respective domain, will have a sound understanding of retail business, a solid record for delivering customer centric results, and a natural affinity to cultivating trusting relationships with partners.What you'll do...
Develop and maintain the product roadmap and backlog for your portfolio, collaborate with local and international stakeholders to prioritize new capabilities based on clear business cases, and gain alignment from stakeholders including steering groups and executives
Identify user personas, interview users, research market trends, and analyze data to feed into roadmap strategy on an ongoing basis and develop a strategic multi-year product roadmap across a wide range of products (e.g., Pricing tools, Item Management, Supplier Onboarding, Vendor Management, etc.)
Keep up to date on the industry and products in the omni-channel landscape; turn this research into actionable recommendations to accomplish business objectives
Draft epics, and user stories; prioritize the backlog; participate in agile ceremonies to ensure your team and other teams can successfully complete their sprints
Lead a team of Product Owners, Business Analysts, and Developers to deliver roadmap initiatives that’s on schedule and on budget
Lead cross-functional teams in the development of customer driven business requirements for new features and functionalities
Ensure team members are coached and have opportunities for personal growth
Work with internal and external engineering groups to develop leading-edge technology solutions for Walmart stores, warehouses, and digital properties
Use strategic analysis to drive business decisions for the product domain leading to increased KPI results
Communicate effectively and build relationships across the organization, as well as with partners and vendors
Actively communicate with diverse groups of stakeholders through information sharing, listening sessions, training programs, clear documentation, and strategic vision presentations
Work collaboratively with partners; navigate complex decision making, and influence product strategy
Act as a system SME, understand how stakeholders use these systems and providing vision and assistance to teams to get the most from the capabilities we enable
Manage vendor relationships of over $1MM of annual spend.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science
5+ years of product management experience building and launching technical products
5+ years of experience working within cloud, B2B, SaaS, or enterprise products
Experience creating product roadmaps and working with cross-functional teams, including the ability to influence stakeholders
Experience building product artifacts such as roadmaps, MRDs, PRDs, launch/rollout strategy, communications plan, etc.)
Experience leading and growing high performing teams
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience managing day-to-day of sprint cycles
Experience or knowledge of retail and merchandising concepts as well as enterprise tools that support merchandising in areas such as Pricing, Cost Analytics, Space and Assortment, Supplier, and Item Data management.
Skilled or knowledge of backend products, retail technologies, analytics, big data, item management, supplier management, REST APIs, and/or Information Architecture.
