Position Summary...

Reporting to the Chief Growth Officer, this role will have overall responsibility for the sales strategy and operations of Walmart Connect (Walmart Media Group) with the expectation to deliver rapid acceleration of revenue and profit growth in order to achieve $200MM in profit within 5 years (5X profit growth).

The VP, Walmart Connect will evaluate and make recommendations to WM Connect sales and operations processes, organization structure and ways of working to build for a strong future.

What you'll do...

Responsibilities:

  • Define long term WM Connect business strategy to accelerate WM Connect to the next phase of growth.
  • Develop recommendations for the future state WM Connect organization structure.
  • Lead the WM Connect sales and operations to achieve sales and profit targets through:
  • Annual sales planning & implementation of programs that will attract new business and enhance current client sales revenue.
  • Commercialization of ad product,
  • Coaching and motivating a selling team,
  • Management of vendor relationships and pipeline.
  • Develop and optimize ways of working and implement process improvements to deliver efficiency and effectiveness of the team.
  • Build strong cross-functional relationship to ensure integration of sales efforts across all internal departments to develop collaborative ideas and proposals.

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Data Analytics, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in advertising, sales or a related field, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Proven track record of driving business growth and achieving revenue targets in a fast-paced environment.
