Manager, Advertising Sales - WM Connect
The primary focus for the Client Partner is to exceed sales quotas while contributing to our team goals. The Client Partner will become an expert in Walmart Connect as well as the Canadian retail media landscape, trends, and business models through deep partnership with cross-functional teams. They will manage a high volume of advertiser accounts and use their expertise to build relationships by advising clients and creative strategic retail media plans. They will help define best practices, processes, and forge through ambiguity to move the business forward. Reporting directly to the Head of Industry, the Client Partner will travel to client meetings (where applicable) and collaborate with colleagues onsite at the Walmart office.
1. Build and manage relationships with Walmart clients and partner stakeholders.
2. Develop a comprehensive understanding of the client’s business challenges, marketing objectives and success metrics. Shape annual joint strategies between Walmart and clients, leading cross-functional teams to drive client success.
3. Reach and strive to exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales quotas through effective presentation of Walmart Connect advertising products/solutions that will meet client marketing objectives, while contributing to team goals.
4. Responsible for collaborating with cross-functional teams (eCommerce, Merchandising, Marketing) as well as external client stakeholders to identify opportunities to drive revenue and lead the pitching, negotiating and execution of program. The Client Partner will also be responsible for educating stakeholders on the Walmart Connect offerings and unique selling propositions.
5. Conduct forward-thinking, data driven analyses, and consultative recommendations that align with customer goals, and present high-impact opportunities to clients.
6. Collaborate closely with Account Managers, demonstrating strong backend knowledge and the ability to lean in and ensure smooth operations.
7. Attend industry events (may be virtual), network and stay well-informed of industry trends. Travel as required to meet with clients. Collaborate with colleagues onsite at Walmart offices.
8. The Client Partner will work directly with cross-functional internal category stakeholders.
Qualifications

- 5-7 years’ experience
