The Director, Walmart Services, leads the development and management of financial services and payment solutions, including Banking Products, Walmart Protection Plan, Remittances/Money Transfer, Banking products & ATM’s. This role is responsible for product performance, financial reporting, and identifying opportunities to improve operational structures, policies, and systems to increase automation and efficiency. Ensuring alignment of process strategy across support units is crucial to facilitate a strong customer experience.
Collaboration with compliance and risk management teams to ensure regulatory requirements are met and fraud management is optimized is a key responsibility. The Director also facilitates communication, decision-making, and issue resolution across various organizational levels. Additionally, this position leads and coaches a high-performing team, motivating them to maximize their contributions and professional growth.
The Director oversees the end-to-end operations of financial products, including P&L management, strategic planning, and partnership development. This role is accountable for implementing new product features and benefits, driving customer engagement, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Moreover, the Director may work on developing strategic partnerships and creating innovative payment solutions to meet changing market trends and customer needs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field (Master’s or MBA preferred)
- 10+ years of experience in financial services, banking, payments, or related industries
- 5+ years in a leadership or management role (preferably at the Director level or above)
- Deep understanding of financial products (banking, remittances & payment solutions)
- Experience with P&L management, financial reporting, and strategic planning
- Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance and risk management in financial services
- Experience in product development and lifecycle management
- Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams
- Strong collaboration skills across multiple business units and with external partners
- Excellent communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
