The Manager Business Analysis and Insights leads the development and execution of strategic approaches to manage and optimize business operations. This role reports directly to the Senior Director, Pricing and is part of the Pricing Leadership Team, playing an active role in guiding decisions and actions that impact the Pricing Team and overall Price Strategy for the organization. This role requires an ambitious individual who is not afraid to challenge the status quo and drive meaningful change. The Manager utilizes advanced analytical tools and techniques to collect, organize, and interpret data, identifying trends and anomalies to uncover opportunities for improvement. Responsibilities include conducting ad-hoc analysis and deep dives into specific areas to address immediate concerns or support strategic initiatives.
In addition to data analysis, the role establishes key performance indicators (KPIs), develops dashboards to monitor operational processes, and creates data visualizations that effectively communicate findings. The Manager provides actionable insights and recommendations to stakeholders to drive operational efficiencies, optimize workflows, and enhance business outcomes. Strong planning and project management skills are essential, including the ability to define steps, milestones, timelines, and deliver results on schedule. The Manager will direct work for themselves and potentially other organizational and third party support, ensuring alignment and accountability across initiatives.
This position requires collaboration at all levels of the organization—from VPs to analysts—and close partnership with Technology and Product teams. The Manager must demonstrate strong analytical skills to gather the right data, identify root causes, and design solutions through to completion. Additional responsibilities include managing competitive intelligence relationships, leveraging competitive data to inform strategies, and leading all marketplace and eCommerce pricing initiatives in partnership with Technology. The role may also involve forecasting and predictive analytics to anticipate challenges or opportunities, assess capacity requirements, and analyze resource allocation. Building strong internal and external relationships, driving automation and innovation, and staying abreast of industry trends remain critical components of success.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a STEM-related discipline or 3+ years of relevant retail or pricing analytics experience
Change leadership: Comfortable leading teams, facilitating meetings, challenging the status quo and driving continuous improvement
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills: Ability to gather the right data, identify root causes, and design solutions through to completion
Proficiency with advanced analytics tools (e.g., SQL, Tableau, Power BI); Python preferred
Experience in KPI development and dashboard creation
Project management and planning expertise: Skilled at defining steps, milestones, timelines, and delivering on deadlines
Excellent communication and collaboration skills: Able to work effectively across all levels of the organization and partner with Technology and Product teams
Experience with competitive intelligence and pricing strategies, including managing vendor relationships
Knowledge of forecasting and predictive analytics
Innovation and automation mindset: Comfortable identifying opportunities to streamline processes and leverage technology
Up-to-date on retail and eCommerce industry trends
Tools
Database Technologies: GCP, Azure, SQL Server
Reporting & Visualization: Excel, Power BI, Tableau, Looker
Data Preparation: Tableau Prep, Dataiku
Programming: Python (preferred)
