Position Summary...

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Pricing Strategy, this role is responsible for the overall management, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of highly analytical and strategic projects within the Pricing Strategy & Analytics team, including the end-to-end development of Walmart’s pricing strategy.

What you'll do...

Job Description:

1. Lead strategic development of key long-term initiatives in the pricing team such as E2E strategic category price strategy reviews and financial modelling that enable the organization to achieve price gap and promotional participation targets.

2. Act as the subject matter expert on Walmart’s OMNI pricing strategy and pricing analytic frameworks ensuring implementation, adoption, and governance adhere to corporate principles and standards.

3. Influence leadership using robust data analytics to drive strategic initiatives. Document and align on scope, develop framework, methodology, and implementation strategy, and guide change management where required.

4. Build proof of concepts, perform exploratory data analysis, build analytical models/forecasting models, develop KPIs to measure effectiveness of POC, present actionable recommendations to implement strategy and improve methodology based on feedback and fine tune recommendations as required to support the merchandising team.

5. Work hands on to prepare reporting, create visualizations and dashboards to derive insights by applying sound data analytics techniques and subject matter expert knowledge to come up with viable recommendations. Perform analysis to understand cost/benefit and present recommendations in a clear and concise manner.

6. Influence and communicate the project plans and rollout across the cross functional organization to ensure we have alignment and buy in with the appropriate groups with proper timelines.

7. Build expert knowledge among cross-functional business areas to support the implementation of projects. Understand existing workflow systems, map current process, perform gap analysis and propose process or feature improvements while recommending solutions based on gained experience.

8. Work with product/technology teams to develop tools and resources to support both internal strategies as well as merchandising requirements. Act as a subject matter expert to help develop price measurement and analytics reporting to deliver best in class understanding of customer experience of price.

9. Manage multiple high priority projects simultaneously; drive meetings that reach agreement and next steps. Align on tasks and owner, deliver tasks on time or follow up with owner to ensure on time project delivery.
