The Manager, Process Improvement identifies opportunities for improved service or productivity within ecommerce Operations, Replenishment, and Supply Chain processes, and addresses systemic issues through research, data analysis, and associate feedback. This role develops and implements solutions aligned with the overall vision and operations strategy. Defining business requirements to influence product roadmaps and designing proof of concept, pilot, and rollout plans for new processes or technologies is a key responsibility - including advancing inventory deployment, network optimization, and evaluating fulfillment outcomes to identify opportunities that improve service levels, inventory productivity, customer experience, and network efficiency. The position may also involve investigating and testing innovative technology solutions to address operational gaps.
The Manager, Process Improvement defines and improves operational metrics and service levels to measure productivity and customer satisfaction, including in stock, suboptimal shipments, split shipments, and customer promise. Providing guidance and support to various teams, including Product, Technology, Replenishment, Operations, Merchandising, and Transportation, is necessary to meet project schedules successfully. The role may also assist in the development and implementation of change management strategies to support the introduction, adoption, and sustainment of process or technology changes.
The Manager, Process Improvement is responsible for developing and owning governance frameworks, standardizing operational routines, and change management strategies that enable sustainable implementation of business and technology initiatives. This includes providing content for training materials and facilitating training sessions where required. Building relationships with and collaborating with cross-functional counterparts across Product, Replenishment, Operations, Transportation, and Merchandising to share and gather ideas is another aspect of the role. Monitoring and assessing compliance also be part of the responsibilities.
This position is a key support to operational strategies and may consult or mentor managers at various levels on metrics and performance improvement. The Manager, Process Improvement ensures that implemented changes are embedded within teams, closing the loop between inventory decisions, fulfillment outcomes, and replenishment workflows to support continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in a strategic network optimization or process improvement role
- Previous experience in data analytics, automation, visualization, and storytelling is a must
- Prior exposure to product, machine learning, or forecast modelling is a plus
- Prior experience establishing performance measures, validating solution effectiveness, and driving the adoption of tools and processes that enhance inventory positioning, fulfillment execution, and customer promise outcomes is a plus
- Prior experience working with forecasting model outputs and validating against business strategy and optimal inventory placement based on customer success measures is a plus
- Experience working in large, matrixed organizations or high-stakes programs
- Comfortable with ambiguity and relentless curiosity
- Exceptional communication skills and ability to translate business needs into system requirements and process flows
- Bachelors or Masters degree in a relevant field is a plus
