This role demonstrates expertise in merchandise planning, developing, executing, and improving action plans. The role may provide expert advice and guidance, support efforts to meet business and customer needs, and build commitment for various perspectives and rationales.
The role builds OMNI financial plans for merchandise categories by partnering with cross-functional teams, preparing, revising, and executing category budgets, seasonal buy plans, and line review financials. It involves determining item/program quantities, conducting analyses to identify business drivers, and presenting financial recommendations.
The role supports OMNI profit and loss (P&L) for the category team by providing financial forecasts, preparing financial analyses and reports, and analyzing new items and merchandise line financial reviews. It also provides insights on how key inputs are used in inventory and margin forecasts, decision-making, and month-end recaps.
The role continuously develops financial strategies and key event plans by attending supplier meetings, modeling and analyzing the impact of key variables on category performance, preparing and reporting category strategy templates, and ensuring modular/seasonal assortment mix aligns with financial goals. The role may lead OMNI meetings, maintain markdown budgets, and collaborate with Merchants for planning activities and financial forecasts.

Qualifications
*Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
*Experience with analytical tools (e.g. Excel, Access, SQL).
Must be strong in MS Excel
*High problem-solving skills, and general business acumen
*Solid relationship and influence skills
