The Senior Architect advises business and IT on architectural options, explaining implications and identifying risks related to component or application implementation. This role designs and implements solutions that integrate various processes and application systems, ensuring alignment with key functional and non-functional requirements. Collaboration with enterprise and business architects may be necessary to translate business capabilities into a conceptual architecture.
The Senior Architect engages in business, technology, and architecture planning sessions, anticipating future changes and strategies. By evaluating business and application architecture, this role ensures flexibility for incremental development, maintenance, and future enhancements. The position provides expert input on significant business process or capability-altering projects, understanding market positioning and solution value.
Responsible for designing solutions and overseeing their implementation, the Senior Architect works with product owners, project teams, solution delivery leads, infrastructure leads and business teams to understand business strategies. This role facilitates solution design review meetings with stakeholders, ensuring solutions support business goals and evaluating budget impacts based on total cost of ownership analyses.
The Senior Architect advises business and IT on architectural options, explaining the benefits and considerations related to application rationalization and technical debt reduction. The Senior Architect has a deep understanding of Financial Operations (FinOps) to guide the effective management of cloud costs.
The Senior Architect is a visionary technology leader with deep experience in distributed systems, cloud-native architectures, AI/ML-driven solutions, and event-driven architectures. This role also requires experience in automation leveraging AI/ML to optimize processes and drive efficiencies.
The Senior Architect may use industry research to enhance the technology environment by comparing internal processes with industry best practices and influencing future industry solutions to fit internal needs. This role also builds and leverages internal and external partnerships to achieve business goals, fostering a customer-focused environment and supporting continuous learning. As part of Architecture Governance, the Senior Architect will collaborate with International and other market Architects to ensure the solution is fit for purpose.

Qualifications
- Minimum of 8-10 years in architecture roles, with a solid understanding of architectural frameworks and methodologies.
- Deep experience in designing and implementing resilient, scalable, and secure solutions for cloud-native architectures, distributed systems, including event-driven architectures
- Proven experience in application rationalization and technical debt reduction initiatives.
- Experience in leveraging AI/ML for automation to optimize processes and drive efficiencies.
- Proven experience in Architecture Governanceand FinOps.
- Understanding of Architecture Principles, Patterns and Modeling
- Ability to build Architectures in an agile environment
- Ability to define Architecture Artifacts in consumable format for various stakeholders.
Nice to have:
- Relevant certifications such as TOGAF, SAFe Agile.
- Google Cloud Professional Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect
