Position Summary...

The Senior Software Developer will play a key role in driving technical excellence across development teams. This position involves active participation in design and architecture discussions, mentoring team members, and ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices. The role also requires hands-on troubleshooting, leadership of offshore resources, and a strong focus on automation and innovation, including Gen AI-first approaches.

What you'll do...

Key Responsibilities

  • Development & Design
    • Actively participate in development scrum meetings and design sessions.
    • Provide consultation and guidance on software design and architecture.
    • Standardise coding best practices and ensure compliance across teams.
  • Infrastructure & Operations
    • Facilitate software infrastructure requests and support operational needs.
    • Provide technical troubleshooting for systems not supported by development or support teams.
    • Maintain and rotate system secrets in line with corporate security policies.
  • Leadership & Collaboration
    • Lead offshore resources to establish and follow software standards and guidelines.
    • Coach and mentor team members to enhance technical capabilities.
    • Collaborate with business partners to provide operational support and consultation.
  • Innovation & Automation
    • Invest in automation for QA, processes, and continuous improvement.
    • Drive innovation initiatives with a Gen AI-first mindset.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong experience in software development and application architecture.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting complex systems and infrastructure.
  • Excellent understanding of coding standards and best practices.
  • Leadership experience managing offshore teams and mentoring developers.
  • Familiarity with automation tools and frameworks for QA and process optimisation.
  • Knowledge of security practices, including secret management and rotation.
  • Exposure to AI/Gen AI technologies and innovative development approaches.

Tech Stack:


Data Engineering:

  • Knowledge of Gcloud utility
  • Airflow (particularly some knowledge of Astronomer)
  • GCP BQ
  • SQL hands on
  • SQL Server / Azure SQL Server

FE:

  • ReactJs / NextJs
  • Knowledge eof any CCM / secret setup
  • React Native would be a nice experience as well

BE:

  • NestJS and different data layer connection package
  • ExpressJS for legacy support, ExpressJS 5 for experimental development

Other:

  • Any hands on / knowledge for the following would be great:
  • Powerbi / tableau
  • Kafka / nifi

The pay range for this position is $74,000.00 - $101,750.00. Pay will be determined based on relevant experience.
