Position Summary...

Operating tractor trailer equipped with multi-speed transmission (Automatic or Manual) safely by adhering to all safety requirements

Shift availability:

Pay Rate: 0.879 cents per mile (please see breakdown below)

0.659 cents per mile base pay

0.02 safety premium

0.20 mountain premium

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: From $26.35 per hour

Requirements:

  • Must have AZ / Class 1 Driver's License

  • Must have at least 3 Years' Class 1 Driving Experience

  • Clear Abstract (no moving violations, no failed brake inspections, no tickets in the last 3 years)

  • Age - 23 or older

*NOTE:

Schedule will be 4 days on and 4 days off

Start time: 9 AM -11 AM

1st day: Pick up load from Surrey and deliver to all the stores (Sleep on highway)

2nd day: Head to Sicamous (pick up GVA load ) and deliver the load and end shift in surrey

3rd and 4th days: will be the same as 1st and 2nd days

Responsibilities:

  • Perform inspections of mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment of tractor trailer unit before, during, and after trips, including gauges, lighting and electrical systems, and visual checks of potential water, oil, fuel and air leaks.

  • Connect and disconnect semi-trailer hoses.

  • Completing all applicable paperwork. Maintain up-to-date Driver Log throughout the duration of each shift.

  • Responsible for communicating with Dispatch.

  • Establish and maintain positive working relationships with customers and co-workers in a professional manner.

  • Be able to perform physical work at times (lifting in excess of 50lbs).

  • Use of satellite tracking equipment.

  • Observing and complying with rules and regulations of the Ministry of Transportation and the Highway Traffic Act.

The rate of pay for this position starts from $26.35/hr.
