Position Summary...

As the Digital Performance Marketing Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving comprehensive customer growth by spearheading the Search Engine Marketing (Paid Search) innovation and optimization.

You will lead maximizing return on investment (ROI) along with various KPIs for these channels, build media strategies to support different marketing always-on and seasonal programs as well as oversee campaign execution with agency partners, while managing budgets and ensuring proper allocation of funds for optimal performance.


Reporting to the Director, Performance Marketing, you will also use your Paid Search data and results to influence different cross-functional business decisions at Walmart Canada through actionable insights.

What you'll do...

1. Lead the development and execution of a strategic approach to manage and optimize Search Engine Marketing , aligning efforts across different marketing funnel stages. Drive key channel metrics, including Reach, Traffic, Revenue, Acquisitions, and others while constantly reducing cost and maximizing ROI.

2. Build partnerships and liaise with internal cross-functional teams to develop digital strategies that support omni and ecommerce marketing programs through paid channel media plans and tactics and understand contribution to the overall business P&L. Oversee end-to-end campaign planning and execution, from conceptualization to implementation. Ensure that all campaigns align with brand guidelines, resonate with target audiences, and deliver measurable results for the business. Strategize, direct, and coordinate digital channel creative in close collaboration with campaign owners, Creative, and Brand teams. Support various ad hoc digital media projects and requests on an as needed basis.

3. Foster collaboration with international and local Walmart Tech and Data teams for channel enablement though different Martech projects, ensuring seamless integration of tech requirements, enhancements, and innovations to automate, streamline, and optimize performance marketing efforts.

4. Continuously identify test and learn opportunities and incorporate into channel strategy.

5. Directly manage digital agencies to ensure efficient delivery of channel priorities and objectives on time and on budget, and establish and maintain strong relationships with media vendors, negotiating favorable terms and securing advantageous placements and media opportunities.

6. Stay abreast of the latest digital media trends and capabilities and lead on innovation and market-first digital media opportunities for Walmart Canada.

Qualifications

  • ·Bachelor's degree in Digital marketing, Business, Analytics, Computer Science or Economics
  • ·6+ years of experience in Digital Marketing with in-platform experience in one or more of the following:
  • Paid Search, Social, Programmatic Digital Display\OLV campaigns, remarketing or Affiliate
  • ·Strong understanding of digital channel landscape to include knowledge of campaigns across paid search, social,
  • display, video, affiliates, CRO and attribution methodology
  • ·In-depth knowledge and understanding of Google Media platforms, technology and their respective participants
  • (Youtube, Google Adwords and shopping ads, Programmatic display/OLV exchange etc ) and how each platform can
  • be deployed in different scenarios
  • Strong analytical mindset and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • ·Experience operating a direct marketing program at scale, with responsibility for a $10MM+ annual budget.
  • ·Experience growing, scaling and optimizing channels in a high-growth environment in a data-driven way, focused on
  • both ROI and LTV
  • ·Proficient knowledge of the Omniture Suite / GA360/ GA4 as well as experience with digital reporting and tracking
  • ·Experience working closely with CRM teams, organic search experts and branding team is a plus.
  • ·Previous experience working in retail, grocery or similar fast-paced organization is a plus.
  • ·Familiarity with multiple measurement methodologies including Last Touch attribution, Multi-Touch attribution and
  • Media Mix modeling.
  • ·Certifications in Google AdWords, DV360, Meta blueprint or Google Analytics is a plus.
