Operating tractor trailer equipped with multi-speed transmission (Automatic or Manual) safely by adhering to all safety requirements. This position is to operate LCV units for Walmart Fleet

Responsibilities:

• Drive LCV / tractor-trailer in a safe and responsible manner.
• Perform mechanical inspections of tractor-trailer units including pre/during/post trip inspections of gauges, lighting and electrical systems, visual checks of potential water, oil, fuel, and air leaks to ensure safety of equipment
• Operate tractor-trailer equipped with multi-speed transmission (Automatic or Manual) safely by adhering to all safety requirements
• Connect and disconnect semi-trailer hoses
• Complete all applicable paperwork and documentation
• Maintain up-to-date and accurate Driver Logs throughout the duration of each shift
• Communicate with Dispatch effectively
• Establish and maintain positive working relationships with customers, vendors, and co-workers
• Perform physical work at times (lifting in excess of 50lbs)
• Utilize satellite tracking equipment and other systems
• Observe and comply with rules and regulations of the Ministry of Transportation and the Highway Traffic Act
• Must be flexible to work nights/evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs

Requirements:

• Must have AZ / Class 1 Driver's License
• Must have LCV Certificate (Issued by AMTA/CCA)
• Must have at least 3 Years' Class 1 Driving Experience
• Must have at least 2 Years' LCV Driving Experience
• Clear Abstract (no moving violations, no failed brake inspections, no tickets in the last 3 years)
• Age - 23 or older

LCV Pay Rate: 0.802 cents per mile (please see breakdown below)

0.682 base rate

0.02 safety premium

0.10 LCV premium

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: From $27.25 per hour
